Puppet and Master, acrylic on pegboard, was done in 2005 and was exhibited only once, in the Retrocognition show at Gish. It can also be seen in the PBS segment filmed by Barbara Deeb that same year. Although JSH's notes in the catalog for the Retrocognition show projected that this was the first in an ongoing series of works dedicated to ventriloquism, those subsequent works didn't begin to appear until just a couple of months ago.
